In 1974 our founder, Ron Swapp, started building shutters in his garage as a hobby. In 1979 he realized the tremendous potential of plantation shutters, so Ron quit his job as a pharmaceutical rep and incorporated Sunburst Shutters.

From that date of incorporation, we’ve gone from 1 location (in Ron’s garage) to over 100 stores and dealers throughout the world. Sunburst is still headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada and has now sold more than 10 million shutters in our existence.
